Pte 2873 Ernest Rowson
Pte Rowson had joined 3rd VB Manchesters and then served 7 yrs in the S Wales Borders,5790 incl Boer War (Discharged with DAH), when he re-enlisted on 27/8/1914. Ernest trained with 3rd Bttn and he was discharged unfit from the Mil Hosp Grimsby on 15/4/1915.  Ernest had Tubercle of Lung. The Pension record says the condition was not the result of service and sadly doesn't mention aggravated – which it almost certainly was.
Ernest died from chronic Nephritis & Bronchitis due to Active Service on 11/4/1917.
Widow Charlotte Mabel & 2 Daughters Alice & Arthur.4 School St, Newton Heath. Pension awarded.

DC Confirms cause of death.  Burial location needed.  This case is not going forward because there is a contradiction between the WFA card and pension record.
