Pte Dixon had served overseas with the 1st Bn from 03.03.1915. He died in the Singapore Military Hospital of bronchitis while serving with the 1st Garrison Bn.

Hi Cliff,
I know this is erected by CWGC but it is not the corect design for War Graves. I think it's probably the shape for non world war headstones, with the corenrs clipped off - where CWGC have a contract to manage the maintenance on behalf of MoD.  It's a fundametnal Charter obligation that Pte Dixon's rank and unit should be included on the headstone. He died in service in the qualifying period of the Great War and remains on the roll of war dead.

I have too much drama with CWGC, so if you wanted this corrected you should email [email protected]

Tim, so sorry, I seem to have missed that you had answered the question in 2020, it's may have been resolved by now, I will have to try to get recent photos of the 2 graves. This is what you posted in October 2020: "CWGC are aware of the Non World War Headstones at Kranji and they will be replaced in due course, when the correct standard headstone will be used, including standard insignia.
Dixons burial was only recently re-categorised as a War Grave.
