8484 Frederick Cunningham - 17th Bttn

Frederick enlisted in 2nd City Battalion on 3/9/1914.  He was discharged due to ill-health on 27/1/1915 and died of disease 28/4/1915.  His father, Robert, lived at 77 Old Manchester Road, Middleton.  Frederick had been a warehouseman aged 26y 10m when he enlisted.
His stepmother Mary applied for Pension and this was refused, indicating his death was not connected with his service.  His Medical was clear.
