Hi Brad !

Those 2 cards show the diversity of the information collected !  Some cards have a wealth of info on them and others just the bear bones  ::)

Thanks Mack,

I was told he was wounded in the buttocks.I didn't know of a second wound.
Thanks again

Wendi

I know mack and I have been involved with discussions about this before but , I believe those gloves lead me to believe that there is a hand wound.

hi I am new to this site and was interested to see the details in this string, particulary the address in Everton, this is where my Great Grand parents lived for many years, my Grand Father George Ellewood Westerside, was born in Everton, the only brother I can remember he had was Albert (Uncle Albie). Is this the same branch of family?

mack

there was a george westerside, who served in the machine gun corps[pte 85932]
and a albert westerside in the liverpool regt[pte 204266]

Hi dwesterside,

Sorry it took me a long time to respond but my computer was down. I don't think it is the same branch of family.
My G-Grandfather was William Westerside born 1886 and had one brother John Westerside born 1896. I was researching the wrong Westerside family until I got a copy of my G-Grandfathers marriage license.
