A Kampong is a Malay Village or a small enclosure of houses, such as that on the postcard.

Yes that is a Malay house, It must had been pre-1950 period. I doubt you can see that kind of houses now in Malaya. Even the Orang Asli who are living in the jungles are changing their life styles, though some are still clinging to their old ways. But hunting for a living has gone.
