CSM Dewan died from disease contracted after discharge.  Widow Winifred received no pension. "Angel" Llanstephan Rd, Johnsoton, Carmarthen.
Following one Platoon and everything around them....

Born at Nenagh, Tipperary; Roman Catholic. Formerly 846 and 3167 Leinster Regiment, enlisted on 19/09/1891, discharged on 13/12/1913; served in South Africa 1900-1901. Re-enlisted into the Manchester Regiment on 08/09/1914 and discharged with SWB on 22/10/1917. No apparent mention of his disability in any of his service papers. Death registered at Salford.
