After a short illness Geoffrey Lee died on 21st March 2018. His funeral will take place on 20th April at Great Coxwell, Oxfordshire.  In Malaya he commanded 7 Platoon of C Company, originally based in Kulim. Later as lieutenant colonel he commanded 1KIngs in Londonderry for which he was awarded the OBE.  Promoted Colonel in 1979. Later  British Defence Attache in Prague 1983-87.
