Pte Dunn (B 25/10/1885) had been a Labourer when he enlisted in 4th Bttn on 29/10/1914.
Michael was discharged from 4th Bttn on 4/8/1916. He had Debility contracted following rheumatism at Riby Camp. He had severe issues with his teeth, possibly linked to grinding during seizures.  There was no diagnosis on Epilepsy and confirmation that the condition was aggravated or attributable to service.
Michael died from Epilepsy "comm on AS." (commencing) on 6/2/1917, aged 41. Buried hollinwood cemetery.section B14.grave 128.  This plot is for those who died in the poor law institute,Oldham
Widow Annie received pension for herself and 6 children, incl illeg step child and son from Michael's 1st marriage (B 1903-17.  Youngest son James died on 12/10/1917. 8 mills St.Royton, later 10 Church St.
Seeking advice from IFCP with the evidence.  Epilepsy commencing in service may not be accepted a attributable.

Michael Dunn's case will be put forward to IFCP again.  His "Debility" started at Riby camp, but the Pension Record doesn't mention epilepsy - although grinding of teeth may be consistent with the condition.  The Pension Card clearly states epilepsy commencing on active service. HOLD!

Michael Dunn died from epilepsy commencing in service at the mental ward of the Oldham Union Workhouse.  A Bricklayer's labourer.
