Hello I'm Lorraine and i'm looking for information on my grandad, 2325 Private John William Roylance 1/5th Manchester RG, enlisted 31st Aug 1914 Declared medically unfit for further duty October 1915. I know he landed at Gallipolli 6/5/15 and was wounded in the first few weeks, he was back in Manchester by June 1915. He spent the rest of his life blind and he never talked about what happened to him. I have just read on here about him being shot in the head ?? does anyone have any further information or can point me in the right direction please .
