Hi, researching my Grandfather Sam Ashworth 24907 who was killed on 16th September 1917 ,no known grave but remembered at the Arras Memorial .
Believed killed between 8thand 16th at Gavelle Switch area. Hoping to get close to actual area in July at the remembrance celebrations in Belgium.

Is any one else investigating the Ashworth family ?

Hi,Cpl Sam Ashworth was my grandfather,I do have a photograph of him and my father William Ashworth. There was also another son Sam Ashworth. Family lived in Manchester until my grandmother died in 1918. What relationship are you Sam and me?

Looking forward to reply.
