I've recently been to Paris and took a day trip to Hargicourt, where my grandfather Pte C H Martin (2/6th) was captured on 21st March 1918.  His account of the events that day appear in Martin Middlebrook's book The Kaiser's Battle.  Here are a few photos of the area for anyone who's interested or wants to compare with the old photos!  We did walk inside Cote Wood and there was a small building there but probably built after WW1!

A few more photos........  It was amazing to be there, especially when we saw the poppies growing nearby..........

The grave was the only one I could spot from the Manchester Regiment and I've posted that separately on the thread relating to the cemeteries project.
