Harribobs & Wendi

Thank you for your help. My auntie told me Joshua was discharged from the army with bunions, I would like to find his records and find out which Battalion he joined and where and what he did in the Labour Corps. Thomas Taylor his brother was my great grandfather. My gran gave me the medal and cap badge when I joined up too remind me of my of the times playing soldier in the yard.

J. Taylor - 34791 Manchester Regiment / 368430 Labour Corps

I will post further queries onto the relevant forum pages.

Kind Regards

Chris

Wendi

Sadly Chris his service record does not appear to have survived the German Bombing during WW2

Robert Bonner

There are several floor plans of the various buildings at Ladysmith Barracks in the book of the same name - available from the museum bookshop website.

Dear Mr Bonner

Thank you for the information on the Ashton / Ladysmith Barracks Book. I have purchased a copy from the museum website.
