Hello all,

My husband served in the 1st battalion in the early 1950's but sadly he is now terminally ill.  He has asked me to find a copy of the Regimental slow march "Farewell Manchester" also known as Feltons Gavotte, to be played at his funeral.

I have tried the Duke of Lancaster's Band Master, Kneller Hall, The regimental Museum - they do have a copy taken from a 78 rpm recording but it only lasts 60 seconds is incomplete and is very poor quality.  I have also searched YouTube where there are a couple of guitar recordings which are not really his idea of a military slow march.

I am now completely stuck.  Are there any ex band members who may have a copy or the sheet music or can anyone suggest where I might try next.

Many thanks

Marmalade
