Jennihirst,

Firstly, welcome.  If you look at the map on Thread No. 13, you will see marked "Acid Drop Copse" adjacent to "Cemetery".  This is the location of the present day cemetery and Memorial.  At the entrance to this cemetery and with your back to the Memorial you will be looking at the ground over which your great grandfather attacked on that fateful day in July 1916.  PhilipG.
