Joseph Robinson

Hi All

I have an ancestor Joseph Robinson, I have his short service attestation papers. He joined the Manchester Regiment in Aug 1904.
At the time he stated he had previously served in the 5th Manchesters.

His records say Sept 1904 he was posted with the 4th Battalion.
Then on 12th Oct 1905 he was posted with 3rd Battalion F company to South Africa.

I am trying to find out what happened around the time he was discharged, the Lieut-Colonel of 3rd battalion signed his discharge in Heidleberg 17th February 1906. He was then sent home and discharged in May 1906 as medically unfit to serve.
