wife ellen[Nellie]8 children
retained Att on war work at henry wallwork+coy,roger st,manchester 16/8/1915
Demobilised as surplus to requirements 1-1-19
suffered from chronic bronchitis in late 1918,resulting in him being put on sick leave more than once. Attributed to service.
died 15-2-19
previously served 5yrs with 5th VB Manchester regiment
occupation.engineer

James died aged 48.  Buried Philips Pk Cem 22/2/1919 K.462.
PRC says cause of death "Discharged".  Nellie received £11 Grant.
Possibly on Working Reserve when condition started although his own report stated otherwise.
DC may state Bronchitis. Hold.

James Chapman died from chronic bronchitis & broncho pneumonia at his home at 27 Ridgway Street. His widow was present. Iron turner Army Pensioner.

James Chapman was approved for commemoration today.
Awaiting adoption of burial at Philips Park

James Chapman's burial has been accepted at Phillips Park.
