Pte Coleman served with 1/8th Bttn in the MEF from 25/9/1914 and probably joined the Bttn in Gallipoli..
Peter died from Pneumonia on 3/2/1919. Another Pension Card states "DOW". Both Soldiers Effects records state Peter was on Demob Furlough – meaning he was still serving at the time of death.  The 1914-15 Star also states Deceased, with no reference to discharge.
Son of Peter Joseph (Deceased) & Mary Ann Coleman, 47 Renshaw St, Stretford Rd, Hulme.  In 1911 Peter had worked for an India Rubber Manufacturer.
DC confirms Lobar Pneumonia as cause of death and Peter was a Rubber Worker. He died at home.  The DC says Ex 1/8th Manchesters.

The Diocese indicate there was a headstone on Peter Coleman's grave at St Joseph's. We need to review the inscription.
