Museum Meeting a great success!
« on: April 24, 2008, 10:33:01 PM »
Have to say I thoroughly enjoyed the Museum talk tonight. Met Capt Robert, kept us all engaged, I cried a couple of times. Great turn out. The icing on the cake was that as Capt Robert was talking he mentioned in detail the accounts of the camps written by a Sgt McKenzie, very moving in detail. I asked where the info had come from and a woman and man in front of me put their hand up and it turned out to be Sgt McKenzie's granddaughter, she was quite emotional.  I spoke to her after, she was shocked and delighted that her grandfather was mentioned.
I do believe that Rafboy was there, I had seen that he said he was going. I asked Garry the curator if he was there. He told me who he was, "the man with the photos". I was the large lady behind you with auburn hair, I did want to introduce myself. You had gone by the time I had found out who you were. Hello anyway!
Well done Capt Bonner.
