Captain (Rtd) Robert Bonner MBE

Hello,

I am delighted to announce that a member here and my friend Robert has been awarded the MBE in the June 2014 Birthday Honours and is go to the Palace in October to receive it.

It was granted for 'Services to Military Heritage'.

A hearty well done and well deserved honour I am sure you will all agree.

You had mentioned this to me, but I have only just seen the post.  I have been away for nearly a month.  Many congratulations.

I'll be speaking about Charlie May on BBC Radio Manchester at the wonderful hour of 0720 tomorrow.  I'll make sure I have some black coffee beside me!  There is some sort of WW1 Roadshow on Saturday and Sunday in Albert Square.  I intend to give the Forum a good mention.
