IMAGES OF GALLIPOLI Photographic Competition
« on: January 20, 2014, 04:57:36 PM »
As part of its centenary commemorations, The Gallipoli Association is organising a photographic competition. The subject for the Competition is, simply, 'Images of Gallipoli'.

The theme is open to individual interpretation but entries must respect the events that took place on the peninsula in 1915 and have the battlefields at their heart. The competition is not restricted to Association members – anyone may enter, no matter where you live. Entries must have been taken on the peninsula by the entrant.

The closing date for receipt of entries is 31st December 2014.

The winning entry will be chosen by a panel of distinguished judges and will be announced in Spring 2015. It is hoped to display as many entries as possible at the Gallipoli Association's subsequent Annual Conference.

Prizes: 1st - £250, 2nd - £100, 3rd - £50. It is also intended that the winning entry will be used on the front cover of the Spring 2015 edition of The Gallipolian replacing, for this one edition, the image of the River Clyde which has been used since edition 2 of the journal, which was published in 1970.

Entries must be presented in digital format only.

All entries to be sent to: photocomp[AT] replacing the [AT] with @
