Thanks for posting the links. Those are taken from the St. Pauls list mentioned above and list all railway staff from every company that was taken over during WW1 (A few smaller companies were left to run independently)

Anyone looking at the list will notice that the GWR and the NER have been mainly populated with more details, as both these companies produced staff magazines, which in the war included a "Roll of Honour"

For the LYR the populated ones seem to be residents of Goole and then a few more sailors. My research is showing that a number of these are not accurate but until I have gone through the list fully I am not correcting it. I have asked the NRM to send my contact details to whoever produced the LYR research and will be sending them my complete list when it is finished.

There should also be a further file on that site that is a list of Midland Railway staff who did not return, which was compiled from a different source.

These are not on the current project, as I need to concentrate on the L&Y ones but I have bookmarked the site and will transfer the info to the main St. Pauls database when I get time,
