A forlorn hope here, I'm afraid.  I came across an officer with this name or similar!!!!.      Sorry!  It was in a search for something else in one of Military Operations books, but  foolishly  I did not take a note of his correct name. His name came up in respect of his taking up an appointment as CO with another regiment. Any chance of finding this man, please? He may turn out to be an interesting character, perhaps. PhilipG.

I've had a look at the medal index card (WW1) & the Services of Military Officers and can not find him.

The Quarterly Army List for January 1917 lists two possibilities:
Emberton,F & Embleton,J.  Both having served in the Boer War.
