Private 34599 Henry Redfearn
« on: May 22, 2013, 07:29:58 PM »
It's me with another conundrum!  Is this chap an ex police officer?  We have one who was born at Hillside, Yorkshire c1892, parents Benjamin and Ellen, joined the police on 10/10/1914 - is he the same as the one above?

Thanks
Mary

Does anyone have any information about this man?  I'm struggling to confirm the identity of our police officer and this man as being one and the same

MARY, I am sure if the information was available  it would have been posted, I spent time going through pension records and service records   found nothing relating any Henry Redfearn to the police.

Thanks Tonyrod - I can only add that he left the police on 12th November 1915, presumably to join up.  I'll just have to keep digging.  If he didn't join up till later then he might have given his occupation as something else, if he'd left the police before that.
He was 22 when he joined the police in 1914, making his birth year probably around 1892.
