Hiya,

Just found my great uncle - Pte John Gorman 9208 - in the 1911 Census via ancestry.com. He was in India - it lists all the members of the battalion, together with wives and children, on 2 April 1911. Does anybody know where, in India, the battalion was located?.

This may be "old news" - sorry if it is!

John went on to serve in the 2 Manchesters, in WW1, was wounded at Le Cateau on 26 August and died of his wounds sometime between then and April 1915 (when the Germans reported him dead.
