Hi I'm new on here and am trying to find information about my father Ernie Ash who joined the Manchester Regiment Militiamen on September 7th 1936, 
he then moved to a Royal Artillery Regiment in 1937. I was wondering if anyone can tell me which batallion or unit he served with and what number it would be. Any information would be appreciated as I only have a little information from the archives in Glasgow, he was in Malta, Port Said and Palestine and served until 1941. He was in 14th Coastal Regiment and also the 17th Heavy Battery. Thanks Alan
