These are pictures sketched by George French Angas in New Zealand around 1845, these are the type of sites and people which the 96th of Foot would of seen and come into contact with. 96th Foot was involved in that is now called the 1st The Northern War or Flagstaff War which started around the Bay of Islands, 1845 and finishing in 1847.
