Frederick collinge

hi there
im after info on my 2nd great grandad Frederick collinge born 13 Jun 1889 in Manchester.
in 1911 he lived at 18 rollerston st, clayton st, ancoats with is wife Edith and son Frederick.
My Gran remembers her grandad being blind and being told it was because he was gassed in ww1.
I have found a mic that may fit but not sure

Pte Frederick collinge 2375 6th Manchsters
discarge 15/8/1916 wounds
enlistment 31/8/1914

there are some medal roll nubers on there but im sure you chaps already have them

hiya paul.
this soldier cant have been discharged through being gassed,he can only have served at gallipoli and the turks didnt use gas.

ok i wounder if she could have been wrong about the gas?
the only other Frederick collinge i can see that was dicharged with a SWB is cope 42432 ches reg, 32210 lab cops
