Hi Robert,

You're welcome and I hope others enjoy some browsing.  I've found it as good as the IWM site.  Both site's images seem free to use for non-profit use.  Does this apply to http://www.manchester-regiment.org.uk/index.php?  Ultimately the other sites provide great scenes for the places the Manchesters served, but the Regimental Archive shows the men.

I'm glad that you've discovered the regimental image archive. This is still in its infancy and there are several thousand photographs and albums still to be digitised for inclusion.  Understandably soldiers and their families feature on the majority but there are many other photographs.

A big thanks to ROBERT BARLTROP who has just posted me lots of  grave photo's from KANCHANABURI WAR CEMETERY ww2
The Kanchanaburi War Cemetery is the main Prisoner of War cemetery associated with victims of the Burma Railway. It is located on the main road through the town of Kanchanaburi, Thailand, adjacent to an older Chinese cemetery. its where the 1st battalion lads lay,
