??? :)  Hi, found this website and was wondering if anyone could help me trace any information on my Grandad. I know that he served in the regiment in WW1 along with 2 of his brothers, both of who died. one in Mesopotamia and the other is buried in Birr Crossroads cemetry. I have tried searching the archives for his service records but I guess it was one of the ones that was lost in the Blitz. I just wondered if anyone could help with any information on his service record. His name was James Bamber Leigh. Thankyou

tonyrod

wow, brilliant help. Not very good at this but I do have his army number. Yes Albert was the brother my wife and my son visited at Easter. I have a photo of my son "James" laying a cross on his grave. I will print this photo and let my mum have it.She has traced the family tree back quite a long way. The address is correct as per my findings and my Grandad was James Bamber Leigh. I will let mum know and I will get his army number. Do you know if there is any way of finding his war record? Or indeed of Albert and George?
thanks Nigel
