hellow my name is stewart brown age 50, i hope that members can help me in my serch for my grandads service record for the manchesters.all as i have got to go on is a picture of my grandad (not in uniform) wearing his wound badge, he lived in COLLYHURST area of manchester so i think he would have gone into th 8th manchesters at the begining of the great-war i know he had a picture of a ship at gallipoli where as far as we can remember it said somthing about the (dardenells) pls excuse my spelling, I have red about the 8th manchesters on the site and the 8 th is the best possable battilion he could have been in.there is a number on the back of the wound badge which reads B200958 i dont know weather this means anything or not it would be realy nice to find more about my grandad who realy would not talk about the war very mutch.

Hi & welcome Bigalf, I can tell you that his silver war badge, number B200958 was issued between  August 1918 - December 1919.
