By the way that is a common/paupers grave with 15 other people in it, but Andrew was first in.

yes they are both my Andrews, its interesting to see that Andrew seniors trade is down as a blacksmith, his was glass maker/blower, but his father, James, was a blacksmith. in 1911, Andrew senior was in the workhouse.

if anyone can check 3 bradfield st, that would be fabulous  :)

Hi All

The Andrew on Tamworth St I don't think is him, in the 1929 Kelly's directory, he's at 2 Hemmons Rd, Longsight, occupation fitter.

He was at 2 Chelford St in 1911, so the 1913 address is definitely him.

It'd be handy if I could find the baptism for his son Andrew John b 1918, and whom I believe was born in Longsight

Andrew John's birth was registered at Chorlton.

I'm no expert on the districts of Manchester, so I don't know if that would include Longsight.

Officially, the Registration District of Chorlton includes Ardwick, Barton, Chorlton upon Medlock, Didsbury, Gorton, Hulme, Openshaw, Rusholme, Stretford.

Hi again,
1918 Chorlton Registration could very well be valid as also Fallowfield/Chorlton-on-Medlock/Moss Side depending on location of the Registrar Office.

Longsight isn't really named in the registration district!

It's a tricky one, as parts of it touched Prestwich district and the other Chorlton, I'd say it's more Chorlton because of its location, it now comes under Manchester South.
