Manchester Regiment Engraved Pagri

I thought I would share with the forum photos of an interesting badge from my collection. This is a cast silver pagri to the 1st Bn Manchester Regiment. The grids on the photo are 1/4-inch, so it is a smallish badge, 1-1/2-inches wide by 1-3/4-inches high. The interesting thing is that it has been engraved as a cricketing award as follows:  "No. 9027 PTE BOWERS CRICKET 1907". I haven't had a chance to do any research on Pte Bowers yet.

 I have only just seen this post.
 Can't see anything on Ancestry for a Pte Bowers with that number.
