Wonderful to see that 'cheeky grin' of old Billie Kennedy again, a great character.

I often wonder if the three inseparables - Charlie Marshall, Johnny Marney and Billie Kennedy are still drilling their 'Little Green Platoons' of Wavell Barrack Days? ;D ;D ;D

They were a wonderful platoon,they were all national servicemen,with the exception of the full corporals and of course Sgt Bill Kennedy,Charlie Marshall and Johnny Marney are drilling on that big parade ground in the sky,great characters all three of them.

If you go to the Regimental Photo Archives site you will find a new photograph showing your father with Jack Carney and others relaxing at Penang.  Photo number MRO 1643.
