a photo of alfred,no matter when it was taken,would be smashing,one of our gang,is compiling a database of all those in the 16th manchesters,alfreds details are already in the database,a picture would round it off nicely.

The photo is of 2 Sergeants in the 1st Bn. The Border Regiment, 87th Brigade, 29th Division.

Taken in France at the end of the war.

The one standing has the Divisional Arm Badge to identify them.  He is also a qualified instructor in bombing.
