Hi,

As some of you may be aware, I've been researching the Naden/Nadin Boer war casualties, one of whom served with the Manchester Regiment, see http://themanchesters.org/forum/index.php?topic=1206.0.

I've recently received photographs of the Manchester Regiment Memorial at Caesar's Camp near Ladysmith kindly sent to me by the SAWGP. I'm hoping somebody can tell me why Walter A. Nadin's name does not appear on the memorial. He died of disease in Ladysmith (not Intombi) in June 1900.

The photographs show inscribed panels on 3 sides on the memorial. Is there a second "Died of Disease" panel on the 4th side? If not, did a 4th panel exist which has since been lost?

Was the memorial erected by the Manchester Regiment before June 1900 when Walter died?

Thanks in anticipation
