are there any (new) 1st battalion war diarys about online? during the formation of the new 1st batt through to 1946?
as i live 100s of miles away from manchester itself where im guessing the majority of the files and resources are, i am hoping something is about online, thanks

Presumably you mean the reconstituted 1st Bn from June 1942?
To the best of my knowledge there are no relevant war diaries on line for that period of the battalion history. The best source of information is Bell's History of the Manchester Regiment, long out of print.
