hi to all i am new to this forum, great job you all do, i was in uk recently on holiday from oz. iwas given 3 medals for m/c regt from an uncle . relatives medals , pte e mountain    17707   1914/15 star b.w.m.  andb.v.m. wondered if any one can help, find more about this relative   .   thanks bluey

 the 20 battalion c company 12th platoon  your Edwin or Edward  is on the platoon photo with  17708  h mountain  could that be his  brother?

3 Sep 1916  Attack on Delville Wood and Ginchy. 130 Pals left.

Formed in Manchester on 8 November 1914 by the Lord Mayor and City. Moved to Morecambe.
April 1915 : moved to Grantham and placed under command of 91st Brigade in 30th Division.
 Moved to Larkhill in September 1915.
November 1915 : landed at Boulogne.
20 December 1915 : Brigade transferred to 7th Division and Bn then transferred to
22nd Brigade in same Division.
November 1917 : moved with Division to Italy.
13 September 1918 : left Division and returned to France. On arrival joined 7th Brigade
in 25th Division.
