Map Reference Help Please 1/6th Bn. May/June 1917

With the grateful help of themonsstar I have now isolated the action in which my Great Uncle was killed on 1st June 1917.  He is buried in Neuville-Bourjonval British Cemetery, just south of Ruyaulcourt.

The diary reads:

“Commencing on the night of 24th inst each Battalion supplied at least one company to dig a new line.  C Company was employed in this work and commenced at the point about Q4 c 24.  This line was to form the reserve line thoughout the ? and was taped out to run approximately from the above point through Q3 d 74 to Q3 d 05 to Q3 d 06.  The construction of this line was done at night with as many available men as possible, until the end of the month.  Mo of the trench was sighted through a filled portion of HAVRINCOURT WOOD which meant very hard work in construction as so many tree trunks and large tree roots had to be removed.”

During this time night patrols report hearing sounds of wagons and “dropping of railway metals on to a wooden floor around the area of the sunken road in K34.  A patrol sent out “on reaching the vicinity of K33, met with rather strong opposition...... and returned without any fresh information."

G.O.C 127 Brigade ordered them out again to “obtain the information required”

“The platoon left our lines at Q3 b 32 at 10.50pm proceeding in a north Wasterly direction for about 200 yds.  On reaching Q3 b 65 the patrol halted and remained lying in the open until the artillery and machine gun barrage was lifted fourard (?) at 1.0 am  The patrol then advanced to K33 d 92.  At 1.20 am 1st June the barrage again lifted and a further advance was made to points K34 c 83 and K34 d 99.  During this advance 1 man was killed and 2 wounded by a bomb.” 

Is anyone able to interpret these co-ordinates for me please ?

Would I presume correctly that the July 1917 map with the frontlines indicated would be after July 1st's event, (assuming we are the blue and "they" are the red, K34 d 99 seems a long way into their area?
