Pte Derek Watson

Hello,

I am new to this forum and would like to communicate with anyone who served with my late father, Derek Watson. At this stage all I know is he was in or near to Penang. I will post again with more details if/when I have them.

I vaguely remember a Derek Watson who on joining  the Manchester Regiment MVA  in the mid- 1980s' gave his home address  as being in Corsham, Wiltshire. Is this the same person?

PS I served with the Bn in B coy Kroh ; D Coy Tapah; C Coy Dublin Estate, Temerloh & Triang; HQ Coy Tapah
(Sarawak Rangers). Penang was the Bn HQ base at Minden Barracks (now part of the University of Malaya) ; the nearest coy detachment to there was at Butterworth.
