Situation to the north of 12 Bde and the 'Lys River Line' (map created for my own use) PM of the 26th May 1940 (elements of 9th Manchesters distributed throughout this area... they even (erroneously) shot up the retreating Northamptonshires immediately south of Ypres the following day!!!)...

The start line was (approx.) adjacent to the lone, tall tree to the right of the road (central in the photo) with the objective area (and main area of holding action) being the railway line in the distance in the vicinity of the small copse on the horizon....
