« on: October 04, 2010, 01:18:40 AM »
Hi everyone. Ive just received my great uncles military records and im being confused by 2 codes used on the forms. My great uncle Toms trade on enlistment is listed as... L315 V.AS and the reason for his discharge is... Para 390 (XVI) K.R 1940

has anyone got a clue what these two codes mean at all, i havent a clue.

Thanks for your time, Luke

Hi Luke!

Para 390 (XVI) K.R 1940

A soldier who has been found physically unfit by a medical board is discharged from Army service under King's Regulations, 1940, paragraph 390 (xvi) as "ceasing to fulfil Army physical requirements."

L315 V.AS sorry I haven't a clue either !
