"Hello"

Just joined your website and still finding my way around, searched on the above and you came up as maybe having some knowledge, I hope you can help me. I collect all sorts of military things including medals.  I have a WW1 trio of medals to  sergeant 6737 Jack V. Edgar, 16th battalion Manchester regiment.  I know he left the army prior to the end of the war and was posiibly wounded on the Somme.  Does anyone have any records that can be checked to see what happened to him please?

fingers crossed

Arthur 85

Can anyone help please ?

Wendi  :)

"Thank you for the info ,thats really great stuff.I would be interested to find out more details of his ill health in July 1916 from heart trouble as you say.  There was always a strong possibility that being sent home in the first week of July 1916 that he had been wounded on the first day of the Somme. Can you tell me how to get a copy of the information and in particular his ill health due to a dicky heart.
I wonder if someone can move this request for me, I'm still not 100% sure what I am doing yet, sorry to be a pain.
I have not got a his medal card?"
Kind regards
