Hello , I'm very new to this so please forgive me if I am not following the correct protocol. I 've just learned that a distant relative signed up to the Manchester Regiment in 1887 in Ashton under Lyne. However, I don't know what Crops or where he might have travelled to.Can anyone give me any leads to follow?  Thanks
