Hi, just saying hello from another new forum member. Interested in finding out about my husbands grandad who served in 8 Batt, Manchesters 1939-1945

I am currently enjoying reading about the exploits of the regiment in Ardwick Boys went to Malta.

Just a quick question, would my husband be entitled to apply for his grandads service record, his father passed away earlier this year before we had a chance to ask him to apply for them.

Looking forward to joining in on the forum

thank you, neither his gran or either of his parents are still alive, I think there is still a living uncle somewhere but lost touch a while ago. Don't mind paying if we have to but obviously better if we don't. Will we need his regimental number to apply as we dont have that yet I'm afraid
