Well done on research.
At last found the "Old Man" ( Father) 14857 Evans F
F Evans ( Frank) Born June 12 1888 Ashton Under Lyne. Could be Paradise Street Hurst
Died 1971 Hornsey N8 London
This is, I belive my Father, as Battalion movements tie up with his little known information history.
Italy was a keypoint
He apparently was remustered 1917 - 1918 into the Middlesex Regiment 19th (S) Battalion Pioneers
located at Alexandra Palace North London. Am interested as to why.
Losses in the field ?? or just plain re-organisation ??
I have his Leave or Duty Ration Card - Leaving from France 26-11-1918 return 9-11-1918.
His number then was PW 14857.
Cannot identify from the picture. Is there a better quality picture availible.
By the way I am 76
