looking for information regarding my grandfather dont know which battalion just know manchester reg. he was invalided out 1943 ish  he moved to live in the bishop auckland area. any information please.

Information regarding soldiers who elisted after 1920 are not available to the general public, however if you can prove kinship, and your grandfather is nolonger alive to apply for his service record himself you can obtain it for a fee of £30, but you will have to have his death certificate.
