Cpl John William Dalton, is my great grandfather and this is the first time i've seen his picture! It's great to see. I'm new on here, so may come across others.

I'm doing the family tree on Ancestry. His son, my grandfather, was always known as 'Geordie'. I naturally assumed he was from Newcastle, but he was not. Like his Dad, they are both from Manchester. He later served in the RAF in WW2 and my father, in the Navy.

John William Dalton in this photo, died in 1954 in Cardiff. I have not yet found when/why he moved.
