Lt. C.Henshall was a member of my cricket club (Timperley CC) and I have been looking for a picture of him for some years now. To reduce the candidates in this group is it possible to say which of the officers in this group are lieutenants?

Captain Charles Henshall. The eldest son of George William and Annie, The Hollies, Timperley and himself a solicitor in a letter from his Commanding Officer says "leading his company into their second engagement in the present battle, he was struck by a piece of shrapnel which burst near to him and he sustained wounds from which he died almost immediately. By his death we have lost a friend., especially those of us who had known him so long, and the battalion has lost a splendid officer". (M.E.N of 18th July 1916)

Thank you for identifying this officer. Am I permitted to use this image in updating his 'page' on the IWM WW1 digital memorial?

Regards,
