Pte Albert Beech DCM 9th Manchesters

name is Dave Langan and former Serviceman 25yrs RM, 6 yrs KORBR and laying low in France.About 20 yrs ago I boughta couple of poscards/photographs of Pte Albert Beech DCM 9th Manchesters. I found him on the Ashton pals site. However I am having problems finding anything else about him. One of the postcards has a vignette type phot taken from the Stockport county borough Express with the address 42 Denton Street, Portwood Stockport.I believe the area was demolished about the 50's. What ever happened to him? I read his citation and it stated that with all his platoon off/SNCO's killed or wounded he took charge of the remaining men and reorganized them and held his position until relieved.
                               To me that sums up a bloody good soldier and it gives rises to the question was life good to him afterwards?
                                      If anyone can help me please let me know I would be extremely grateful.

                Many thanks for that a simple but in my opinion a tremendous citation in so much as it shows the strength of character of the man! Anyway you can suggest finding out what happened to him? I know that he was demobbed after the war.As my photo of him states he was at 42 Denton Street, Portwood in 1917 or at least his folks were.
