Hi, I'm just following up a lead I have on a Sydney Taylor Blane who originally served with 7th LNL numbered 13081 and resided in Blackpool.  He may have commanded or joined a Manchester Regiment maybe around 24/10/1916 as a 2nd LT (http://www.nationalarchives.gov.uk/documentsonline/details-result.asp?Edoc_Id=1490169&queryType=1&resultcount=53376)
Unfortunetly I have no more info with regards to his manchester service, which is why I am here!  :o

Any suggestions?
Cheers,
David.

hi dave

welcome to the group

he doesn't appear in the list of officers in the regimental history but yes he was an officer in the regiment, he was in the 3rd battalion, but he was attached to the 11th battalion when he was killed in action
